Unfortunately I am 420 miles away from my father whom I am unable to spend father's day with this year. I mailed him a card I didn't get teary for at Walgreens and called him this morning. I really miss him. It's incredible to reflect on everything he has done for me my whole life and how dedicated to my growth and well being he is. I can't wait to go visit my family in July. Jeremy and I already got tickets! Anyway, I spent the day making breakfast for Jeremy: Pigs in a blanket, scrambled eggs with jalapeƱos, and fresh mangoes sprinkled with sugar. Here are the piggies in the blankets.
It was hilarious because Jeremy had no idea there were sausage links inside and bit into it and said "Ahhh! What is this?!" I said "It's pigs in a blanket!" and he said, "Isn't that anything that's wrapped in bacon?" We proceeded to google it, which is the solution and settlement of our disputes. And voila, one for Sam.
Overall a pleasant and relaxing weekend. Had a yummy Greek lunch on Friday with Kirsten at Sunrise Cafe, enjoyed having the day off from class and work. Saturday evening I tried grilling cheese stuffed burgers and based on the results, I will not be posting any pictures. Obviously perfecting a stuffed burger is a learning process. Promise I'll get it soon!
